Every development begins with a rigorous brief review. We analyse your tech pack or design brief for manufacturability—flagging construction details that may cause quality issues or cost overruns before a single thread is cut. Ambiguities are resolved with you upfront, not at the sampling stage when they are expensive.
We source every component of the garment against your approved specifications — primary fabric, lining, interlining, all trims, labels, packaging. For development, we draw on our established mill and supplier relationships to source strike-offs, lab dips, and trim samples quickly and accurately, minimising colour and quality surprises at proto stage.
The proto sample translates the tech pack into a physical garment for the first time. It is not a finished product — it is a construction proof. We review the proto internally before sending it to you, eliminating obvious issues and ensuring you receive a sample that is as close to specification as possible on the first submission.
The fit sample is the critical stage where the garment is evaluated on a fit model or dress form against your size specification. We manage the fit session in the factory and document every amendment with annotated photographs and a revised measurement chart. Size grading is completed once the base size is approved — producing a complete size set for sign-off.
The salesman sample (SMS) is the commercial face of the product — the sample your sales team presents to wholesale accounts or your e-commerce team photographs. It must be perfect. We produce SMS in the exact production fabric, with all approved trims, finishing, labelling, and packaging. It is treated as a dress rehearsal for bulk production.
The pre-production sample (PPS) is the final checkpoint before bulk. It is produced in the actual bulk factory, from the actual bulk fabric roll, by the actual production operators. It confirms that the factory can make the garment to specification at scale. No bulk order proceeds without a signed-off PPS – no exceptions.
